2ME Welding & Repairs is a metal fabrication and mobile welding business working across the Shoalhaven and the NSW South Coast.
How it works
One trade, done end to end.
The workshop sits at Unit 6/64 Railway Street in Bomaderry, ten minutes from Nowra. That’s where the accurate work happens — cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding and finishing on a bench, under cover, with the right tooling to hand.
The other half of the business is mobile. The rig carries its own power, gas and consumables, and the truck carries a Hiab crane, so a job can be fabricated in the shop, driven out, lifted into place and welded off on site by the same person. No handovers, no waiting on a second trade, no co-ordinating a crane hire around someone else’s schedule.
It also means one point of contact. The person who quotes the job is the person who welds it.
The coastal problem
Salt finds every shortcut.
Metalwork on the South Coast fails in a predictable order: at the weld, then at the coating, then at the fixing. Nearly all of it traces back to decisions made before anything was cut.
Marine-grade stainless where salt is heaviest. Aluminium where weight matters. Hot-dip galvanised steel where it has to take a knock.
Joins are cleaned back and finished so coating has something to key into — the difference between five years and fifteen.
Dissimilar metals get isolated at the fixing. Left touching, they corrode each other quietly from the inside.
Hot-dip galvanising and powder coating organised as part of the job, so the finish is quoted up front and not an afterthought.
